THE NEXT TASKS FOR DEVELOPING THE TOURISM POTENTIAL OF REGIONS ASSIGNED TO HIGHER EDUCATIONAL INSTITUTIONS ON THE BASIS OF A SCIENTIFIC APPROACH HAVE BEEN IDENTIFIED

On February 23, the work and future plans of a number of higher educational institutions to increase the tourism potential in the assigned regions were reviewed under the Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation Kogratbay Sharipov.

As noted, based on information about the history, tourist sites and characteristics of 30 districts and cities, 67 tour packages were developed, assigned to 11 universities in order to increase tourism potential. A total of 1,212 materials were developed, including 435 text, 277 videos and 500 photographs in different languages about the tourism potential of the area, cities, region and its history.

In addition, in the regions assigned to universities, 18 short-term courses for representatives of the field and 38 internship programs at tourist sites were implemented with the participation of 2,352 students. In order to attract 500 tourists to the republic, 7 scientific conferences and forums, 6 international scientific conferences, 6 ethnic festivals, 4 summer camps, 10 competitions and competitions, 21 training seminars were held in each of the universities. So far, 50,626 domestic and 6,755 foreign tourists have been attracted.

During the meeting, university rectors stated that during 2024, student internships will continue in the regions at scientific conferences, festivals, and tourist sites.

Minister K. Sharipov instructed to carry out work on the application of a scientific approach to increase the tourism potential in the regions, as well as to provide assistance in improving the skills of industry personnel, producing videos in different languages about the history and features of tourist sites. In addition, the need to support inclusive tourism and develop materials translated into sign language was emphasized.
