The cooperation with the Russian Islamic Institute is expanding

In recent years, special attention has been paid to comprehensive study of the precious spiritual heritage of the great scholars who laid the foundation for the development of the Islamic religion, including the civilization of the whole world, and the training of modern specialists at the international level.

For this purpose, the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan is developing cooperation with prestigious higher educational institutions abroad. These processes were reflected during the first official visits of the Chairman of the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan and simultaneously the Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Komilov and on the scientific trips of researchers to the Republic of Tatarstan and Russian Federation.

The recent meeting devoted to the development of the sphere was held with the Rector of the Russian Islamic Institute, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Rafik Mukhametshin and Academic of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan.

During the conversation, Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Komilov noted that the state pays a great attention to reforms in the religious and educational sphere, issues of the conscience freedom and the development of national traditions in our country. He noted that the deep study of the scientific heritage of great scholars as well as, bring up the youth as a science-enlightener is a priority task of every country.

Subsequently, he said about the achievements of the educational and scientific activities of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan. Besides, there were spoken about practical tasks, which were determined for the further development of cooperation between the two higher educational institutions with their scientific potential and staff in the sphere of a wide study of Islam and its science and for this purpose, to consolidate the structural establishment of an exchange of students and young researchers.

There was also an exchange of mutual experience on the gradual progress of a credit-modular training system and the exchange of training programs. Here, the rector of the Russian Islamic Institute, Doctor of Political Sciences, Professor Rafik Mukhametshin visited the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan and announced to hold a Master class in Islamic history as well as, modern trends of Islamic religion.

Particularly, these agreements as cooperation based on best practices in creating a distance learning system for continuing education of students are very important by the time of pandemic. 

At the end of successful meeting the Rector of the International Islamic Academy of Uzbekistan Muzaffar Komilov thanked the Rector of the Russian Islamic Institute Rafik Mukhametshin for his suggestions for strengthening relationship and sincerely attendance at the meeting.
